Snickerdoodles.

“A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand"

This is the recipe of my first rightly baked cookie. I found it in "Cooking Light". It is perfectly easy and the whole baking was over in just 30 minutes. It yielded 25 big cookies.

Recipe:

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2/3 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

cooking spray

1. Preheat oven to 400* F

2. Combine 3/4 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter in medium bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and egg.

3. Combine flour, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and salt, stirring well with a whisk.

4. Add the flour mixture to butter mixture; beat just until combined.

5. Shape dough into balls. (The recipe states 30 balls , I made only 25 balls).

6. Combine 1/3 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a small shallow dish. Roll balls in this sugar mixture.

7. Place the balls 2 inches apart on the baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Flatten the cookies using the bottom of a glass.

8. Bake at 400* for 8 minutes or until the top cracks.

Cool it till becomes hard.
